i have to say that if Beatmania IIDX 15 is at PZ that would be FREAKING AWESOME! O:
i really hope this shows up over there...being a total BEMANI lover (Beatmania the most) xD
i play all the console releases...and i've never had a chance to try out 14 or 15...i wouldn't mind skipping out at 14 (for now) to try out 15 : D
*crosses fingers*

Some sort of IIDX machine
Heh, I'm probably going to move out here for a new job. If PZ gets a IIDX machine (Gold, Troopers, even Distorted) I will seriously come in with $1,000 to load up my card. Give me a time and a date and I'll do it.
Keep me from buying and maintaining my own machine PZ!

Hey Mashharder, there's some people on Bemanistyle that are also pretty excited about the possibility of DJ Troopers:
[Houston] Planet Zero considering IIDX DJ Troopers - Bemanistyle
I know for a fact that if you buy this, people will come from all over to play it. I mean, like I mentioned before, Gold over in Naperville had people coming in from across the country, and we've had people mentioning going to San Antonio, Dallas (RIP Animation Town), Massachusetts (all that way for TGA!), etc. to play IIDX at those distant arcades. I personally was talking to a fellow IIDX-head in Louisiana, and he said he'd probably drive up with friends and play Troopers.
If you buy it, they will come.

Yeah, it'd be safe to say that Planet Zero would definitely be put on the maps as one of the definitive places to play in the country.
The idea alone of me living within 20 minutes of a DJ TROOPERS machine has me excited.

Don't get your hopes up; I don't think they are considering a machine.

Yeah I was starting to get that impression myself. While a Pop'n Music machine is great, it's also MUCH more intimidating than something like a IIDX machine. And while its learning curve is not nearly as steep, it's still got an unwieldy menu and music selection system. These things don't scream "Put money in me!" at least not in the way a IIDX machine does.
Since I've been in town since late August '07 and visiting PZ, I've seen at most 5 other people play that machine, which is disheartening to say the least. But at least it means less of a line for me when I do want to play =).

i really just wish john would post something in response to all we are talking about.
it kinda sucks when youre getting no feedback from the arcade owner, and just speculating for months ;(
a simple yes we are considering it or no, we wont get one would be enough to satisfy
