Have you guys ever been to Southbeach? It's a gay club, but it's got AWESOME music. They play that whole trance/house genre. I went once and got hit on by like 10 guys; it's scary, but as long as you're there with your friends, you're safe. If I was 21 at the time, I would've taken advantage and let them buy me drinks :D

We're going to Main Event because my family is having a reunion thing there. Lol. Yes, we have our reunions at places like Main Event, lol, because there are TONS of people in my family (TONS...) and they're all party animals. =_= I also get to meet my dad for the first time on Saturday. :O

$19.26/hr sundays (i work every sunday)
$25.43/hr overtime (10-20 hrs overtime each week)
$50.85/hr to work christmas, which i shall be doing :)
paid holidays, federal benefits package, yadda yadda. soon tho i'll be taking a test to get a different position in my building to make roughly 2x what im getting now to do 4x less work! only downside is i'd have to move to oklahoma for 6 months for training :(

wow that job would be right next door to you, compared to my drive distance. not sure if they are hiring, after working with christmas mail for the past 3 days, i'd say they need at least 20 more people;

but it takes a loooong time to get hired =/ so i'll look up the link to the hiring page after i get off work tonight. i took the test to get the job in march 05, got hired sep 06. if anything, just take the test/apply for the hell of it, then keep what you got going on, then one day they will call you like, "this is the government, want the job?"

oh yeah. technically you have to be able to lift 70 lbs. but im sure mischa gots that. besides, no girl there has EVER lifted more than 20 lbs. that i have witnessed. mainly because, if im around they ask me to do it and all the supervisors make the girls do the easy jobs while the guys do the heavy lifting. pretty sexist, and unfair, but whatever i get a workout every day.

the test to see if you can lift 70 lbs. is comprised of a yes/no question: "Can you lift at least 70 lbs." answer yes and you got the job and will never be asked to lift such an amount; answer no and you are unjobbed. once you get hired they immediately tell you that if you ever have to strain in any way to move/lift something, don't do it or get someone to help you...

pick a job that sounds good to you (http://www.usps.com/employment/maildeliveryjobs.htm) to get to my job click "operations" -> "delivery, distribution and retail positions" -> mail handler. but apply for as much as you want to better your odds of getting in. the test i took to be a mail handler was easy, i got an 84.6 with zero practice tests. oh, also put me down as a reference to increase your chances of getting hired. seriously, the post office is 99.8% full of people that know and/or are related to someone else who works there or are/were in the armed forces.



well, i just checked and they are only hiring for maintenence positions, electronics techs (the job i want) and mechanics right now =/ still tho, bookmark it and check again later, like once a month or so. or apply to be a maintenence person and make mucho dinero right off the bat, pending you passing the test, which i hear isn't too hard either.

actually i've heard of people getting sleepier with caffiene. it just depends on you tolerance. Since mine's pretty high, one cup of coffee will make me really sleepy, but three will wake me right up. Same with soda; one can of soda makes me kinda tired, but a monster perks me right up! i can't lie, so far every random creation he has made and given to me has tasted good and hit the spot. tonight he gave me a festive drink of eggnog w/ a lil guy called tequila. :D not sure, we shall have to work out a way to get him a mobile mini-bar station one day for ya.

before that at this cafe i ordered a strawberry shake and hot pecan pie, but it was so hot sal suggested putting a lil bit of my shake on it to cool it off. so i dumped about half of it on there and made a strawberry-pecan pie soup of sorts. tasty it was, but i prolly looked high and/or pregnant eating it

worst part is she didn't notice and kept walking....well i guess TECHNICALLY the worst part is that i did nothing but watch to see where it was going >_> then this pair of other older ladies noticed her back was ablaze and started hitting her with church pamplets.... i think i popped a lung holding back the laughter from the irony of it all.

After hearing the response to who all wants to come to my/Hitler's/Alex ['__']'s place, I'm gonna have to say that we'll probably be mostly limiting it to people we generally know or who we are familiar with.

The reason for this being that, aside from the pz people who want to come, we'll probably be having a number of out-of-town fighting game people around who are old friends of ours and who typically like to hang out after regionals.

We'll try to accomodate whoever we can, but for the sake of not over-estimating our space and cramping up our apartment, we'll have to keep a closer eye this time on how many people come over.

So yeah. If you're really interested, go up to the regionals on Saturday and talk to me or David or Alex, and I guess we'll see what happens. :]
